The destroyed Hohenzollern Bridge

The bridge crosses the River Rhine in Cologne; it was destroyed with explosives by German military engineers in March 1945 when Allied troups began an assault on Cologne. It was reconstructed after World War 2 and is now one of the most heavily used railway bridges in Germany
